Second Thoughts

Butterfly at Judge's Lake, Hinckley Reservation

Butterfly at Judge's Lake, Hinckley Reservation

My last post here was about the butterfly that I had made for the Beads of Courage organization. A wonderfully sage person pointed out to me that those colors might be exactly what a family might need, so since then I have grown to love that butterfly. I then began to feel bad that I didn’t like it at first and even wrote about my first feelings here.

I guess maybe it was not such a bad thing (writing here), because then perhaps I would not have had a new perspective on this and might have even discarded the butterfly. Looking at it now, that would have been terribly sad.

Here is another butterfly; I took this photo at Judge’s Lake in Hinckley Reservation in Ohio. Although the wings on this beautiful creature were a little worse for the wear, it was blissfully going about its business.
